18th Century Military Camp at the Citadelle

Quebec City (Quebec) 17 May 2015 – The Royal 22e Régiment Museum invited the public to the Québec Citadelle, this weekend, to experience the life of camp soldiers of the 18th century.

The soldiers of Louis XV, King of France, and George II, King of England, pitched their camps inside the fortifications of the Citadelle, on the heights of Cap Diamant. This was an opportunity to discover the military heritage in a unique way, through the re-enactors in period uniform that offered a unique experience.

Military exercises, rifle fire, cannon fire, patrol scouts, and more were on display.
