2015 Quebec summer festival line-up announced

300 shows, 10 stages, and 11 days of music and we’re on for an absolute cracker.

Quebec City (Quebec) 9 April 2015 – The line-up for this year’s Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ) has been published and there would appear to be something for everyone. The two biggest names are Foo Fighters and The Rolling Stones, yep the Stones are out to conquer a third generation, and there’s even going to be something for country music fans in the name of Keith Urban.

Other stars making the short list are Iggy Azalea, who like Keith is from Australia, and there will be some francophone stars like Patrick Bruel, IAM and Patrick Watson. The Canadian group Nickelback is also on the agenda for the stage on the Plains of Abraham. The Stones are expected to be the biggest draw and are also the most expensive group to ever appear on the Plains.

Other shows will be presented as usual at the Parc de la Francophonie including people like the Tragically Hip, Vance Joy, and Vincent Vallières among others.

As for the shows at Carré d’Youville, which can be seen for free, there will be Zebda, Tribal seeds and Valérie Carpentier.

Tickets for the festival are on sale now and there is a special price starting today, April 9 at noon until Saturday at noon, of $78. Starting Saturday at noon the price will increase to $88 and after June 9 the price will be $98. That is pretty cheap considering the number of shows that can be seen for under a hundred bucks.

The whole schedule for the Festival can be seen at www.infofestival.com in both French and English.
