A positive season for le Nouveau Théâtre de l’Île d’Orléans

In its third season, le Nouveau théâtre de l’Île d’Orléans  has earned great success due to 4400 spectators that went to see their piece titled Bébé à bord, a 5% increase over last year.

Founded in 2011, the new theatre located in St-Pierre-de-l’île-d’Orléans is experiencing a steady increase in its customer base since its first production. This year, groups from all over Quebec were numerous.

The Organization welcomes its association with theatrical company, La Fenière, which allowed experienced director Carol Cassistat to contribute to the piece.

Winter will allow the theatre’s team to engage in major works. Bleachers will be built this winter to provide spectators with impeccable visibility throughout the room. The VIP section will also be redone.

With these improvements, the owners believe that the room will offer a high quality experience that is comparable to most modern venues.

The programming for summer 2014 will be unveiled this fall just in time for Christmas gifts. It should also be noted that this spring, the new theatre was appointed as the local winner of the Concours québécois en entrepreneuriat, in the local level, in the Économie sociale category.
