All Confirmed for July 4th: Sur les plaines Quand le Québec chante

Paul-Piché_Album_coverIt is confirmed, the Festival d’été will kick off all in French on the Plains of Abraham.

The opening show will be all “Québecois” with Paul Piché, Michel Rivard, Daniel Lavoie, Richard Séguin, Laurence Jalbert getting the proceedings under way.

They’ll be singing their greatest hits accompanied by a choir of 400 voices on July 4th.

This was confirmed earlier this month.

For the first time in five years, European artists won’t be participating in the opening ceremony.

The show called Sur les plaines Quand le Québec chante, is the same as the show planned for the 10th anniversary of the Chanson International which had much success last summer for its presentation in Quebec and Montreal.

Supported by the 400 voices, Piché, Séguin, Lavoie, Rivard, and Jalbert will interpret great classics such as Y’a pas grand chose dans le ciel à soir, Je voudrais voir New York, L’ange vagabond, Le blues de la métropole, Au nom de la rasion, and many more.
