Child abuse case in Sherbrooke area

Child_face_dark
A couple from Sherbrooke, Quebec have been arrested on child abuse charges pertaining to three children from the ages of 4 to 14 who reportedly have been under nourished, badly treated and who have been recently, as far as we know, sexually abused. The three children in question were removed from the house a week ago by the Child Protection Services (DPJ).

The couple aged 34 and 27 were not known to police but have been charged with aggravation, incitation, and not supplying the necessities for the well being of children, on top of the sexual aggression charges.  The names of the children and the couple involved are being withheld by Sherbrooke Police until further notice. The names of minors involved in such crimes are rarely identified in order to protect their privacy.

A fourth child, the oldest, from a different mother, was already in a Child Protection Centre.

According to Statistics Canada the Sherbrooke area is the second most prevalent sexual abuse against children region in the province second only, to the Lac St. Jean territory.
