Quebec City (Quebec) 30 January 2015 – The evening of January 29 saw a gathering of the special at the beautiful and historical Auberge St-Antoine, in the Place Royale area of Old Quebec City.

The evening was dedicated to the Gallete du Roi, a French tradition of serving a special cake for dessert that contains prizes and a special designation for someone who will become the King for the coming year.

The invited guests, including many from media outlets in the region, were treated to finger food prepared by the Panache restaurant accompanied by wine and kir. A small fashion show followed the eating of the Gallette, before the evening broke up.

L’Auberge St. Antoine, owned and run by the Price family, has won many awards, including best hotel in the city, second best hotel in the province, after the Ritz-Carleton in Montreal and the fourth best hotel in Canada.

The hotel is built on some of the oldest fortifications in Canada, which are exposed for the guests to admire, has 95 rooms and an excellent restaurant, also rated as one of the best in the city.

Paul McCartney stayed at this hotel while in Quebec City for his shows on the Plains of Abraham.
