Aurian Haller Band Live at Le Cercle

The Aurian Haller Band – In Concert at Le Cercle

August 25, 9pm

For their first concert in Quebec since the launch of their latest album, Normal Town, The Aurian Haller Band will play a free show at Le Cercle on August 25th at 9pm.  LeZarts Studios is filming the show for Vox TV.  This folk-rock quartet from Quebec has already received great reviews for Normal Town, which has played on over 27 radio stations across Canada this summer.  One of their songs, “Island,” is presently at number eight on CKRL.

The Aurian Haller Band is award-winning poet and singer/songwriter, Aurian Haller, and a talented group of musicians from Quebec City. The quartet mixes up folk, rock and jazz for a contemporary folk sound, featuring a blend of steel guitar, string bass, cello, vibes, piano and acoustic guitar. At the heart of the music are Haller’s haunting lyrics. Haller has written several books and has won numerous national awards, including the Canadian National Magazine Award for poetry. His songs are reminiscent of Leonard Cohen, Donovan and Nick Drake, but also echo francophone influences such as Daniel Bélanger.

“Haller’s haunting voice and lyricism reflect a deeply personal journey. The band’s unique blend of folk rock and jazz creates a harmonic landscape that reaches out and grabs you by the heartstrings. Close your eyes and walk.” – Jacqueline Czernin, CBC Radio One.
