Bordeaux Fête le Vin Back for Summer 2013

Bordeaux Fête le Vin Back for Summer 2013

The event Bordeaux Fête le Vin à Québec will come back at the end of summer next year, then, every two years. Regis Labeaume confirmed this on Wedesday morning. There are still some negociations with the SAQ and Bordeaux and wine interprofessional council to take place, but the City wishes to see the Vieux-Port seized with joyful wine lovers at summer’s end, probably during the Labour Day weekend.

According to information obtained by Quebec City, the 70 Bordeaux producers have made incredible sales in Quebec, even though 6,000 of the 17,000 imported bottles have not yet been opened.

The event was so popular that the wine producers were running out of arms to serve the wine. They are thinking about training Quebecers to help them during the next edition.

To benefit from the 2012 presentation, Quebec City and its Bordeaux partners wish a second event in 2013. Then, Bordeaux fête le vin à Québec will come back every two years.

The budget for this event was $547,000 and there is only a small $2,500 surplus.
