Bullet-Riddled Body in Rivière-des-Prairies: Gang Activity Suspected

Montreal (Quebec) 19 August 2015 – A 24 year old man died in the night from Friday to Saturday, after being rushed to the hospital for multiple gunshot wounds he sustained in the Rivière-des-Prairies district, in Montreal.

“The victim is known to the police community,” said the spokesman of the Police Service of the City of Montreal, Anie Lemieux. “However, we have yet to arrest the suspect for murder.”

The Montréal police have established a crime scene and combed the area of the shooting, in order to examine witnesses and attempting to establish the circumstances of the crime.

The man was found covered in blood on Friday night in front of a residence at the corner of Maurice-Duplessis Boulevard and Alexis-Carrel Avenue.

This is the twentieth homicide in Montreal this year.
