Capitales Baseball – Take us out to the Ball Game

“What a beautiful day for a ball game.”  That was the overriding thought as 30 of the Capitales Tickets Competition winners arrived at the Stade Municipal de Québec, within Park Victoria, early this afternoon.  With the weather seeming to alternate between heat-wave sunshine and rainy teen-degrees weather, it was nice of mother nature to play along for the fourth match between the Winnipeg Goldeyes and Québec City’s very own Capitales.

Those among you who have yet to go see a baseball game at the Stade Municipal on Victoria Park are missing out.  Between the baseball, the crowd, and the bright summer sun gently floating across the open sky above the ball park, an afternoon at the Capitales is the kind of carefree activity that somehow combines old-timey baseball nostalgia and the very best of an afternoon in fresh air and natural light.  As many of our winners did – come with your kids, your friends, your colleagues.  Whether they’re die-hard baseball fans or confuse the catcher with a wicket-keeper, they’ll have a great time.  If nothing else, the beer and hot-dogs guarantee it.

Thanks to all the competition winners and Life in Quebec readers who showed up for a fun afternoon among friends, old and new.
