Caron World’s Third Strongest Man

Jean-François Caron took the third place in the World Strongman Championship, which united 32 athletes from over 30 countries around the globe from July 3rd to 12th.

This year the competition was held in China.

Caron was very proud of his performance and Quebec is proud to have him as a representative in this discipline.

After every competition day, some athletes were eliminated in order to end up with the twelve best participants for the final.

On the last day, Caron finished just behind Zydrunas Savickas from Lithuania, and Hafthor Bjornsson from Iceland.

This third place is Caron’s best performance.

This is good news for the upcoming Canadian championship and the international competitions still on the schedule. Caron wishes for a podium at the end of the Strongman Champion League season.

In China, Caron established a new dead-lift record by lifting 903 pounds ten times.
