CEDEC to Host Second Annual AgriWeek

January 27, 2015, Huntingdon, Quebec – After the successful 2012 inaugural edition of AgriWeek, CEDEC Small Business Support will host AgriWeek 2015, February 17 through 20, during Le Mois de la gestion agricole (Agriculture Management Month).

Thanks to partnerships with Farm Credit Canada, Farm Management Canada, and the Quebec Farmers’ Association growers, producers and agripreneurs will learn about various financial, management, innovation and technology services and programs available through a series of webinars, workshops, videoconferences, and the AgriWeek Salon.

“Quebec’s growers, producers and agripreneurs face the same challenges as other small- and medium-sized business owners,” says John Buck, CEDEC’s Executive Director.

“They need to be aware of the tools and skills available to help their businesses succeed and grow. AgriWeek will provide crucial information to businesses in the agriculture industry – an industry that is key to a thriving economy.”

Some of this year’s topics include “Boost Your Farm Management Skills”, “From Idea to Marketplace: A Blueprint for Value-Added Farm Products”, “Effectively Managing Risk on Your Farm”, and “Optimizing Dairy Revenue”.

A consultation session will explore “Farming in Quebec: What Works and Why” while the AgriWeek Salon will offer attendees the opportunity to speak one-on-one with the organizations that can help them grow their business.
