Chicoutimi Saguenéens Get Four New Captains

SAGUENAY – The beginning of the LHJMQ season sees Chicoutimi Saguenéens naming four players as captains.

In a departure from the norm, the team decided to appoint more than one official leader.

Forwards Jeremy Gregoire, Charles Hudon, Alexandre Roy, and Guillaume Asselin received the good news two days before their opening game against the Quebec Remparts (this Friday).

The new captains are aged between 17 and 20-years old.

The coaching staff took this unusual step after coming to the conclusion that no one player was more deserving than another to wear the “C” on their jersey.

This nomination also made Gregoire smile, who at 17 will hold a more formal role in the team.

Veterans Christopher Gibson and Mathieu Gagnon will also have their say in the locker room, since they are part of the core alignment.
