Clockwork Orange in Quebec

Clockwork Orange in Quebec

Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, April 27th at 7:00 pm.

The play Clockwork Orange from Anthony Burgess’ dramatic novel is a French adaptation by Nicolas Laugero Lasserre and Alexandre Berdat.

Adapted in theatres by Stanley Kubrick in 1971, Clockwork Orange presents the story of Alex and his gang of “drougs” who spend their night terrorizing their city’s inhabitants until Alex is betrayed by his friends. Sent to jail for fourteen years, psychiatrists use him to test new experiments supposed to stop criminals from committing violent acts.

Alex is not aware of what awaits and the consequences that these new techniques create. Clockwork Orange was played many times in big cities like London, Chicago, New York, Paris, and Los Angeles.

The Tandem team called upon a new generation of actors for this piece:

Maxime Le Flaguais – ALEX

Veronique Marcotte – Staging

Alexandre Goyette – Booklet

Denis Bouchard – Art Direction

Michel Robidas – Costumes

Nicolas Ricard – Scenography
