Colour-Coded Tool for Bird Watchers

Colour-Coded Tool for Bird Watchers

In June 2009, Donald Lapointe launched a guide to identify birds by colour, an original concept that helped recognize birds quickly. Today, the guide is available on Internet at this address www.oiseauxparlacouleur.com.

The guide is available with any device: computer, tablet, and smart phone. When Mr. Lapointe launched the guide on CDrom, he planned to sell enough to enhance the quality of his material, but he barely covered his expenses. This did not stop him from purchasing a new Nikon D300 and a300mm f 2,8 objective. These acquisitions gave him the occasion to improve many shots and include more species to his collection. The Internet version presents 142 different birds.

Until now, without any publicity, his site is a success. It gets more than 5000 visits per month. He is happy to see that his passion for birds is shared with many people.
