Condo Owners Aim to Remove Guide Dog

The Verre-Bourg owners in Ste-Foy will meet to try to solve a problem with a guide-dog, which has been threatened for the past two years. The animal has been specially trained and used by a deaf person in the building, Robert Delarosbil.

The spokesman of the group of owners called a special general assembly but they don’t believe it will be vigorous enough even though the opinions of each are very different.

A majority of the owners are in favour of allowing Mr. Delarosbil keep his dog while a few owners refuse the exception to the rules which doesn’t allow any animals in the condos. The meeting needed 99 signatures. There are more than 125 people out of a maximum of 167. It is the biggest assembly since the establishment of the Verre-Bourg.

There might be some tensions about the necessary majority needed to change the rules. A decision will soon be taken by the owners to know if Mr. Delarosbil will be allowed to keep his guide-dog.

Let’s hope that common sense prevails.
