Dog and Race Lovers Get Ready for Cani-Cross

Dog and race lovers definitely don’t want to miss out on the second year of this event in Saint-Raymond, February 9th.

The cani-cross and scooter challenges, two winter disciplines linking man/woman to dog, will create a lot of excitement near the Sainte-Anne River.

Despite the fact that it is a new event, last year during the “Neige en fête”, it had a lot of success.

All the participants except two or three come from outside the region because this sport is still unknown for Portneuf.

The organizers expect more participants this year and due to these expectations, the entry fees have been reduced.

To participate in this challenge, the runners must enroll on the day starting at noon at l’Auberge La Bastide. $25 for the cani-cross and $10 for the discovery trail.

They must have their own equipment.

Harnesses will be available for people who wish to try the cani-cross by taking part in the discovery trails.

The start of the cani-cross race will be at 1 pm and the discovery trail race will start at 2:30 pm.
