En Route vers Broadway – a Musical Theatre themed Benefit Concert for Cystic Fibrosis Quebec
In order to raise funds for support, care and research on Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a musical review entitled En Route vers Broadway was created and will be presented at the Palais Montcalm in Salle d’Youville on Friday May 26th 2017.
Starring three local singers who can boast rich and varied musical paths accompanied by a professional pianist, this concert will also guest star a few local artists (musicians, actors, singers and dancers) who will join the team on stage for selected songs.
Musical theatre is a uniting and inspiring theme which felt like a natural choice in order to reach a large and diverse audience. A Musical is to us the perfect medium; with its combination of dancing, acting and singing.
Choosing a cause for the benefit concert was just as easily done, Cystic Fibrosis (CF) being the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. At present, there is no cure. It is estimated that one in every 3,600 children born in Canada has CF. Cystic Fibrosis Québec’s mission is to end cystic fibrosis (CF): to help all people living with CF by funding targeted world-class research, supporting and advocating for high-quality individualized CF care and raising and allocating funds for these purposes.
All profits from the concert’s ticket sales will be directly donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Quebec Foundation.
