Espace Marie-Victorin Project On Track in Lévis

Espace Marie-Victorin Project On Track in Lévis

The Espace Marie-Victorin project did well in the last year. The committee had nine meetings. The solidarity cooperative was created and the project is defined, an architect was chosen, and now the financial budget is being planned. The Espace Marie-Victorin could be ready for 2015.

The next step for this multi-generational and multi-functional project is changing the administrative council of the cooperative. Gaining from a partnership with Ville de Lévis, the people representing the Espace Marie-Victorin cooperative were meeting, in early June, the urbanism committee for the Chaudière-Ouest territory. From there, the recommendation can be transmitted to the executive committee if the project answers all the place’s criteria.

The project has a building of 51 condos for elderly people in loss of autonomy and almost 50 others for families as well as five commercial spaces. The site is evaluated at $ 20 million.

Having a place where elderly people can live, in the place where their stayed for many years was a priority for the residents of Saint-Nicolas.
