Eugenie Bouchard at Wimbledon

The Quebecer Eugenie Bouchard took Serbe Ana Ivanovic by surprise during the WTA tournament in the second round on grass in Wimbledon in London on Wednesday. Bouchard was 66th in the world but held on for and won 6-3 and 6-3 in a duel. Bouchard started to play by conserving her serves and by breaking her rivals immediately.

She had to be aggressive and by doing so, she obtained easy points and she could take advantage of her opponent’s weaknesses.

The young 19-year old player continued to dominate even though she was getting nervous when she was serving the match at 5-2 in the second round to get her ticket to play against Carla Suarez Navarro, 18th worldwide.

She is still confident and knows she can beat the best in the world.

One thing is sure, she has talent and great potential.
