Faubourg Saint-Jean Celebration Back on May 25th and 26th

L’Association des gens d’affaires du Faubourg recently unveiled programming for the 2013 edition of the Faubourg Saint-Jean Celebration.

This festive and colorful family event is hosted every year at the beginning of the summer. This celebration is awaited by the Quebec citizens and the many visitors who plan attend festival rain or shine on Saturday May 25th and Sunday the May 26th, on Rue Saint-Jean between Turnbull and Mercier in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste neighborhood.

The program of urban entertainment with the complicity of l’Aubergine that is full of surprises including Zumba dancers, Capoeira dancing, breakdancing, jugglers, mimes, magicians, psychics and many other presentations. In addition the participation Kif-Kif Sisters and a unique and festive atmosphere that will cause laughter and wonder in children and adults.

This is the perfect opportunity to discover or rediscover the shopping district as well as to enjoy great deals with the famous sidewalk sales and inviting terraces, as well as popular drop-in food stops.

The parking-lot at Caisse populaire Desjardins de Quebec will host the event, with face painting, clowns, entertainment and games. The craft market before the Saint-Jean-Baptiste school will offer exclusivity from Quebec artists and others.

Music and Entertainment

This block party isn’t complete without a musical spectacle that will dazzle your ears with live music of all genres. Also on Saturday night, the audience will be invited at 8 PM for a show with the magician-psychic Mike Control on the front of the church Saint-Jean-Baptiste followed by a pyrotechnics show by Pyro Del Arte.
