Fêtes de la Nouvelle-France 17th Edition

Fêtes de la Nouvelle-France 17th Edition

This year is the Fête de la Nouvelle-France 17th edition and women will be under the spotlight for the occasion. More or less known as heroes, prisoners, adventurers, Amerindians, or religious groups who created the history of the colony, women will be impersonating many characters in Old Quebec from August 7th to 11th. The festivities will begin on the 7th at 5pm with the arrival of a sail boat in the Old Port, a boat bringing 36 women representing the first Filles du Roy. A parade will follow on Grande-Allée where more than 600 characters will show off their costumes and characters.

Following the annual theme, the pass will represent the front of a ship in the shape of a woman. It will be on presale from July 17th to August 6th for $8 in SAQ and participating TD Banks in the region. The medallion will then be sold in the same places but for $10 each.

The official program will be available July 17.
