Each Spring Jeffery Hale Community Services offers English-speakers a chance to enrol in a Red Cross First Aid Course designed specifically for parents with children 8 years old and under.

The full day course is scheduled for Saturday, April 2 in room 1135 of the Jeffery Hale Pavilion.

The $60 registration fee includes a manual (English) and a certificate valid for 3 years.

The course includes information on:

Accident prevention
Shock
Fainting and unconsciousness
Choking
Artificial respiration, and CPR including defibrillator demonstration
Burns
Bumps, fractures, minor scrapes and bleeding
Poisoning
Bites
Asthma
Epilepsy
Allergies

Breast-feeding mothers may bring their babies to the course. To guarantee your place, a non-refundable payment for the full amount is required by: Friday, March 18, 2011.
