Follow-up on baby in garbage bin story

Métabetchouan-Lac-à-la-Croix (Quebec) 24 February 2015 – Following-up on the story we reported on yesterday about a newborn baby being found in a garbage bin in a remote town around Lac St. Jean Quebec, the provincial police have charged the mother with second degree murder.

Marie-Pier-Normand-Lejeune, 22 was charged with the murder of her infant from her hospital bed in Alma, Quebec.

When she will be allowed to leave hospital she will be going directly into custody.

Mme Normand-Lejeune was 32 weeks pregnant when she gave birth to the child in the bathroom of her residence where she was living with her mother and a male partner.
The mother and the partner both claim they had no idea that Marie-pier was carrying a child.

There were none of the usual physical signs of a pregnant women according to the two individuals who for the moment have not been charged as accomplices in the matter.
