Food Tasting Along rue St-Joseph

Food Tasting Along rue St-Joseph

Rue Saint-Joseph is to be transofmed into a huge tasting area for a one day this coming September.

This is a special operation to promote the many products offered on the main street in Nouvo St-Roch.

The project is called: Cuisinez Saint-Roch and will take place on September 7th on rue Saint-Joseph.

The street will be closed between Caron and Dorchester for the occasion.

From one end of the road to the other, people will see the chocolate store, a tea, a sausage, and a fish shop, and butchery.  All merchants on Saint-Joseph Street were invited to participate in this project and 99% of the answers were positive.

Each merchant will have their own spot to showcase some of their wares. Ideally, they’ll be offering their products in bite-size portions.

People are sure to be hungry and will have the opportunity to tuck in along the length of the street.

This event is not to celebrate restaurants but rather nutrition. Restaurants will still have their place. Chefs from eight buildings on the main road will be on stage for animation. They will prepare easy recipes using local products.

This event, with the help of the Société de développement commercial du centre-ville, will take place for at least the next three years and probably more.
