Former Cancer Patient Donates $150,000 to CHUQ Foundation

The CHUQ recently received an exceptional donation of $150,000 from a resident in Rosemère in the Laurentides, in the north of Montreal, following his visit and many treatments that allowed him to fight against cancer.

Mr. Rousseau wanted to express his gratitude for Dr. Eric Vigneault radio-oncologist’s excellent work, at the Hôtel-Dieu of Quebec. The donation will allow the realization of a research project in curie therapy.

In 2011, Mr. Rousseau donated $25,000 for the Hôtel-Dieu’s acquisition of an operation robot. Such big donations are common amongst the Anglophone community and are a rising trend for francophones.
