Free Trees for Quebec City Residents

Free Trees for Quebec City Residents

Quebec City will commence its annual tree distribution on Saturday May 11 starting at 8:30 am.

2000 trees will be offered to the citizens in six places throughout the city.

Citizens will have to choose amongst 4 types: the Snowdrift, the Japanese lilac Ivory Silk, the Canada Serviceberry, and the Armstrong Red Maple. These have been selected due to their adaptation capacity to the Quebec climate and their resistance in urban areas. The tress measure about 1.5 metres and are given in 3 gallon pots. They will be distributed from the following places:

Marcel Bedard Arena: 655, boulevard des Chutes (arr. de Beauport)

Arpidrome : access by the 79th Street (arr. de Charlesbourg)

Stade municipal du parc Victoria : 100, Cardinal-Maurice-Roy Street (arr. de La Cité-Limoilou)

Roger-Comtois High school : facing the 158, boulevard des Étudiants (arr. de La Haute-Saint-Charles)

Duberger Arena: 3050, boulevard Central (arr. des Rivières)

Centre sportif de Sainte-Foy : 930, avenue Roland-Beaudin (arr. de Sainte-Foy–Sillery–Cap-Rouge)

Only one tree will be given per property until they are all given out. A proof of residence is needed. For more details, citizens can visit:
