German Christmas Market back and bigger than ever

German Christmas Market back and bigger than ever

Quebec City (Quebec) 1 December 2014 – The Quebec City annual German Market is back in town and it’s bigger and better than it ever.

This year the market is beside the Hôtel de Ville on the new Jardins de l’Hôtel de Ville and a bit more in Place de l’Hôtel de Ville, allowing visitors to have a bit more space to get around.

Last year the event attracted more than 45,000 people.

There are some new offerings this year as the site gets bigger and bigger every year.

It’s a great opportunity to taste some delicacies from around Europe and buy some original gifts that only come around once a year.

And don’t forget that warm wine, Glühwein, served on a regular basis to warm you up in more ways than one.

This year if you go when it’s darker outside you will be treated to a three part light show which is projected on the side of the City Hall building.

There is also a light show you can get involved in and become an actor with others all in the spirit of Christmas.

The German Market will be up and running, daily until December 14.

So if you’re looking for that special unique Christmas gift, this just might be the place to find it.
