Good News After Amos Flood

Good News After Amos Flood

There is good news for the citizens of Amos, where traffic has been completely disrupted since the main south road closed last Friday due to the rise of the water level of the Harricana River.

“The water level has decreased by two inches since Wednesday, the director of the Flood Brigade of Amos reassured us.  They are responsible for surveying the situation.  When we closed the road, the water level was four inches high, which means that with a decrease of another two inches, things will be better.  We can never be sure, but if this continues, it shouldn’t take long for the road to open again, at least if it doesn’t rain,” said Ms. Gagnon.

For those who experienced driving in the traffic in Amos these last few days during rush hour, it has been quite difficult.  Keep in mind that the city is getting by with a temporary bridge that doesn’t allow for circulation of traffic during the reconstruction of the bridge down town.
