Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec Back for 2012

Over 400 professional cyclists will gather in Quebec City, Canada, for the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec.

On September 4th, many of the world’s elite riders, together with their support teams, will drop by Quebec City.

This international competition takes place, due in part, to the great efforts made by the municipality to bring prestige events here.

The Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec will take place in Old Quebec. There are lots of hills to make it harder for racers and its charms make this event one of the best of the race calendar.

The widespread enthusiasm for cycling is already on the verge of spreading to Quebec City in only a few short weeks.

The race will start off Friday, September 7th on Grande Allée near Place George V and the Armoury at 11 am.

It ends between 4 pm and 4:30 pm.

The run is a closed circuit, permitting spectators to see riders anywhere around the course go by 16 times during the 5 hour race.

This will be challenging for the world’s best cyclists.
