The very first IRDPQ (Institut de réadaptation en déficience physique de Québec) cycling challenge will take place September 15th.

David Veilleux, member of the professional Europar team, is the honorary president for the event.

He will be accompanied by the paralympic athlete, Marie-Ève Croteau from Charlesbourg, who will act as spokesperson.

There are two challenges for those interested in taking part.

The first is reserved for experts and is 93 kilometres long. This starts in Baie-Saint-Paul.

The second course is 42 kilometres long and starts in Donnacona.

The two courses will join together on boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel in Quebec City.

The anticipated average speed for both courses will be approximately 25km/h.

The challenges’ subsequent profits will help to fund adapted sports equipment and to also fund activities for those with physical deficiencies.
