Irish Ambassador to Canada to Speak in Quebec

Monday May 27 at 19:30— Irish Heritage Quebec will hold an activity in McMahon Hall, 1145 de Salaberry in Quebec City.

Founded in 1973 by Marianna O’Gallagher, Irish Heritage Quebec will mark this fourtieth anniversary milestone with a special guest speaker.

Ray Bassett, the Irish Ambassador to Canada, will speak on the Canadian contribution to the Good Friday Agreement in Northern Ireland. The signing of this Agreement in April 1998 was a fundamental diplomatic event. It enabled all sides of a divided society to pursue their aspirations in a power-sharing arrangement.

An anniversary cake and refreshments will be served.All are welcome to attend.
