Is Crashed Ice Coming Back to Quebec?

Gestev president, Patrice Drouin, would be really surprised if Red Bull Crashed Ice didn’t come back to Quebec in 2014, but he is preparing so that the City becomes a simple challenge circuit rather than hosting the main event.

The event in Old Quebec could be held much earlier in the season, in January for example or even during the Carnival.

Mr. Drouin talked to the media after a speech at the Château Frontenac saying that Quebecers were lucky to welcome the ultimate step in the championship.

Even if the contract between Quebec and Red Bull ran out last March, the Gestev president remains convinced that we will see the skaters back again in the next few years.

He is waiting for some news from the organization.  If the challenge circuit is hosted in Quebec it could create some schedule conflicts with the Carnival. This year, the Saint-Peul course, the second in the Red Bull calendar took place on January 26th, only a few days before opening of the 59th Quebec Carnival.
