Is Quebec City Ice Hotel on the Move Again?

If he could, Regis Labeaume would move the Ice Hotel into Quebec City. The ice sculpture must not be out on a limb in Charlesbourg.

The city wants to create an activity centre in a concentrated area. This would add pep to (the already packed) winter celebrations and also to compete against the increasing popularity of the Fête des neiges from Montreal.

There are traditional costumes. The Carnival will be 60 next year but this doesn’t mean the organization can’t be creative.

The Ice Hotel organization did not plan to move again after leaving Portneuf 3 years ago for the Zoo in Charlesbourg.

The site is extremely satisfying and the organizers think it is too early to comment on the moving of the hotel into the city.

Even if the mayor didn’t specify an area in town, the Hotel president presumes that it will be on the Plains of Abraham. The organization is already discussing this with the Carnival.

Hotel discounts are included in the Carnival ticket price as well as other activities.
