Kilimanjaro summit objective accomplished

William Renaud, a student with Dysphasia wanted to eliminate discrimination towards his disability and has finally accomplished his dream to reach the top of Kilimanjaro amongst a group of 14 people.

Supported by Intègr’action jeunesse and le Carrefour jeunesse-emploi Montmorency, the 16-year old student from Samuel-de-Champlain high school was able to bring people along with him to climb the 5,895 metres to the top of the African mountain point out discrimination from which he is victim.

This project allowed him to overcome his timidity, to express himself better, and to know his limits.

During the eight expedition days, each walker met obstacles at different levels. Climbing 5,895 metres demands physical and mental preparation and only a solid team could accomplish this challenge.
