The comedy Leatha Acidents will play at the opening gala presentation on November 3 and the thriller Killing Ruth will play at the closing ceremony on November 6, 2011.

Killing Ruth tells the story of Ruth Keeley. After killing an elderly woman in a nursing home, Ruth befriends the woman’s neighbour (Dee Wallace) and a strange relationship develops between the two women. In their conversations Ruth reveals her life as a contract killer. Based on the real life story of Ruth K., codename for a Canadian hit woman from New Brunswick who killed numerous people all over the Eastern seaboard from Maine to Florida according to a 2004 FBI report.
