Life Long Learning Project Welcome Tea

Life Long Learning Project Welcome Tea

On Thursday February 24, 2011, 27 people participated in the first Life Long Learning program ‘Welcome Tea’ hosted by the steering committee at the Eastern Québec Learning Centre (EQLC).

This new program started in fall 2010 with assistance from the following partners: Voice of English-speaking Québec (VEQ), Eastern Quebec Learning Centre (EQLC), Quebec City Reading Council (QCRC) and Community Learning Centre-Quebec High School.

It’s a great opportunity for mature people to learn more about a variety of topics in an environment where life experiences are valued (no homework, small groups, and no tests).  The participants of the welcome tea had the occasion to find out more about the program, exchange with the committee members and moderators while enjoying great food, tea and of course great company!

The next session will start on Tuesday March 15th with Meb Reisner on the topic “Relationships with books” from 10 am to 12pm at the EQLC.

For more about the program or to sign up for the new session please contact learninglaterinlife@gmail.com or call 418-681-1258.
