Life Long Learning Project

Life Long Learning Project

submitted by Eastern Quebec Learning Centre

After a very successful first year, the Life Long Learning Project is ready to move on for the next session starting in September. This project, funded by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program, was the result of the work of the Community Learning Centre and the Voice of English-speaking Québec. Eastern Québec has encouraged the initiative.

We usually meet at the Learning Centre on Tuesdays between 10 a.m. and noon.  Sessions can be as little as once to as many as five different occasions, depending on the topic. With a bank of about 30 informed seniors participating, we have had six different topics ranging from advertising to a retrospective on the 1960’s.

Meb Reisner has been one of the ‘pioneers’ with two very popular sessions and Cynthia Dunster has contributed as well.

If you are as young as 50+, English speaking or NOT, and would like to join us for informative exchanges, please call – 418 654 0537 extension 2852 to register for September.

We also need moderators for next year – come along and open a discussion on a topic you enjoy. Please call the above-mentioned number to get more information.
