Loto-Québec Finally Pays Out $30K Winnings

Loto-Québec has finally decided to distribute winnings to Mireille Lévesque, an employee of a store in Sainte-Luce in Bas-Saint-Laurent.

They initially refused to pay out, as she had scratched her ticket before paying for it.

Officials of Loto-Québec handed her a cheque in person for the $30,000 prize.

The part-time employee of the Pineaut store had a habit of taking a lottery ticket, scratching it and paying for it later.

At first reluctant to pay, Loto-Québec has finally decided to play ball.

This unusual situation could cause the society of the state to review the eligibility criteria, since it’s not stated in the rules that a person must pay for a lottery ticket before playing.
