Man Beaten and Robbed in Limoilou

Quebec City (Quebec) 16 August 2015 – A 40 year old man was beaten and robbed by five people wielding sticks in the Maizerets sector of Limoilou on Friday night.

A resident, seeing the scene, immediately called police around 9PM on Friday night. Police arrived shortly after, though by then the criminals had fled. A second call to the police allowed the authorities to find the victim, who described his assailants before being taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Later that night, police arrested three people, aged 17, 18, and 19.

The 18 and 19 year old were taken to a detention centre and were accused of armed assault and theft Saturday morning. The minor was released and will face youth court. The two remaining criminals are still wanted by police, who continue their search.
