Marco Schällibaum Appointed Montreal Impact Head Coach

Marco_Schallbaum_Montreal_HeadshotThe Swiss, Marco Schällibaum is now the new Montreal Impact’s head coach.

Already 50-years old, Schällibaum was head coach in the Swiss first division for 10 years.
He lead the FC Bâle clubs, BSC Young Boys, Servette FC, FC Sion, FC Schaffhausen, and AC Bellinzona.

Schällibaum managed to bring his team to the UEFA Cup two consecutive years; in 2002 with BSC Young Boys and then the following year with Servette FC.

Recently he was asked by the FIFA to train coaches. He is very happy and proud to be the new Impact head coach.

Impact will begin their next training camp in Montreal January 21, and will participate in the Classic Pro soccer Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida from February 9 to 23.

The opening game will be held Saturday, March 16 against Toronto FC in the Olympic stadium.

Marco Schällibaum replaces Jesse Marsch, who was it he Montreal hotseat from August 2011 to November 2012.
