Men’s Canadian Volleyball Championship at the PEPS

The Rouge et Or from Laval University will be seriously tested for its first game in the male volleyball Canadian Championship , which will take place at the PEPS from March 1st to 3rd.

Expected to be ranked 5th nationally, the Rouge et Or will compete against the Alberta Golden Bears Friday at 8 pm. First to be in the top during the whole season, the Golden Bears slipped in the classifications due to their loss in the West Final Four semi-finale.

Rouge et Or and the Golden bears faced each other three times since the beginning of the season for preparatory games in Trois-Rivières and Quebec, the two last were competed for the SSQ challenge.

Surprised by the adversity met in provincial finals against the Montreal Carabins, will the Rouge et Or be able to make a comeback? Montreal gave them a great gift by showing them what they were up to for this weekend’s tournament.

Even though the teams from the West have won the championship for the past 18 years, the Quebec team still hopes to stand on the podium in first place.

Over the past few years, they have demonstrated that they could compete against the Western teams.

Last year they won against Calgary and Manitoba in the Nationals.
