Moosheads Crowned QHJHL 2013 Champions

The Halifax Mooseheads were crowned champions – they have won their first President’s Cup.
They beat Baie-Comeau Drakkar 5 to 1 in front of 10,595 spectators at the Metro Centre.

Winning 3 to 1 in the series, the skater from Halifax had the chance to finish in front of their fans and didn’t deceive them with this win against the north coast players. The locals set the game at the start by taking a 3 to 0 advance after only 20 minutes. The Moosehead’s power game was very effective.

Even though they had a poor start, the Drakkar didn’t let go and dominated the ice in the second period and reduced the gap thanks to Valentin Zykov’s goal. Eric Veilleux’s men, during the last period, tried to dupe their opponent’s gaoler.
