More Winter Sports Events Coming to the City

The Quebec region will animate the world winter sports news all season. The ski Sprint World Cup is only an appetizer. The world snow surfing championships are coming here.

The first SprintQuebec saw a huge success last weekend in front of the National Assembly. The exclusively outdoors activity held downtown and the presence of a local star like Alex Harvey was already a win. Tthe snowboard internationals promise themselves more prominence than the SprintQuebec – at least three to four times more – in terms of product delivery.

It is the most important competition for this sport after the Olympics, the Snowboard World Championships has six disciplines in 13 days, from January 15 to 27, including training and qualifications. 400 athletes from 35 countries are expected. The budget for this event totals $6.5 million. It is the first senior internationals to be held in the Quebec province.

All of this without forgetting the Quebec Crashed Ice’s eight edition, world ice skating finals March 16. It is a sport completely out of the box, which always attracts many spectators and media in the historical city.
