Mother of Two Killed By Ex

Quebec City (Quebec) August 15, 2014 – A marital dispute ended tragically in the morning of Wednesday August 13 in the borough of Duberger when the ex-husband of Cathy Morin showed up at her house and ended up stabbing her to death. The couple had been living apart for several months and had two teenage children who were living with their mother. The two children were not at home at the time of the stabbing.

Police arrived on the scene after receiving a call from an unidentified third person and found the body of the deceased together with obvious signs of violence. Mme Morin was pronounced dead at the hospital, but the body had been removed from her residence in what appeared to be a body bag. The duplex where she lived was cordoned off and an investigation is ongoing.

A person of interest, who is now a suspect, showed up at a nearby hospital with wounds to his body and police were able to intercept the individual at the hospital itself. His vehicle was towed away from the hospital parking lot and the man was held for interrogation. His injuries were serious enough to merit a stay in the hospital for the time being.

Police are asking anyone who thinks they can contribute to the case to come forward with any information that may be pertinent and can call 418-641-2447. Any information and names will be kept completely confidential.
