Movement on Grande Allée – Joint Maurice/VooDoo Endeavour Proposed

Quebec City (Quebec) January 10, 2015 – The iconic Maurice Nightclub Complex – the multi-story adult entertainment building and longtime staple of Grande Allée nightlife – may be making a few changes in the coming months, if a proposed project by its owner is accepted.

Currently, patrons entering the Maurice Nightclub itself are treated to the unusual step of walking up onto the roof of the Voo Doo Grill to enter the nightclub.  Carl Denis, current owner of the nightclub and its sister establishment the Charlotte, would like to buy the Voo Doo Grill and turn the entire building into a single adult nightlife complex.  The Maurice currently does not offer restaurant services, making it a natural progression to merge the Voo Doo Grill’s current restaurant capabilities into the complex.  Should the deal go off, there would be significant changes to the Voo Doo Grill’s current layout and to the building’s interior, in order to allow people to eat on the terrasse as well as enter through the Voo Doo’s current entrance.
