No Alarm Clock Required

A South Shore resident from Beaumont, near Quebec, did not need his alarm clock earlier this week.

When his wake-up call came, the man get out of bed a little quicker than normal due to a truck crashing into his residence, right next to his bedroom.

This happened at around 7am on Riverin Street.

The truck concerned, towing a bulldozer on a trailer, began to move of it’s own accord due to being on a slight slope.

This all happened while the driver had alighted the vehicle to begin the process of removing the bulldozer from the platform.

The driver tried to catch up and get on board to slam on the breaks but unfortunately failed.
The truck ended up crashing into a residence wall right beside the owner’s bedroom.
The man thought it was a bad dream at first but after a couple minutes he called 911 and evacuated.

An employee from the firm owning the truck said this accident could have been caused by human error.

At least there is only material damage.
It took some time to remove the truck.
