Nuns Leave Jésus-Marie College

The Jésus-Marie College is officially leaving behind religion as the nuns signed, yesterday, the contracts giving away for good the institution to the managing corporation in place since 2012. It is another page of history lasting almost 150 years that is turned for the establishment, which will now welcome, starting this fall, its first male students in high school, after having accepted boys in kindergarten this year.

General director Sylvie Gagné ensures to pursue the tradition of excellence put in place by the nuns. It was an emotional moment. It is comparable to the moment when parents leave the house to start a new chapter in their lives. Even though the nuns continue to occupy the building next door, it is still a step away from their accomplishment in their lives.
