Order of Canada for two local citizens

Two well known Quebec City individuals will be receiving Order of Canada medals from the Governor General’s office this year.

David Johnson will be awarding David Blair, and Louise Penny the medals for their contribution to life in Canada, and for their personal achievements.

David Blair is a well known Quebec City lawyer who is very active in the Anglophone community and was at one time, among other tasks, President of the Quebec Literary and Historical Society, locally known as the Lit & His.

Louise Penny was a radio broadcaster for CBC radio here in Quebec City who has now become a well known international writer of mystery novels which mostly take place in and around Quebec.

Wonder what Inspector Gamache would make of all of this?

From all connected with Life in Québec Magazine and LifeinQuebec.com, massive congratulations to these two who have contributed greatly to Quebec City, the province, and to their country.
