The Olympic champion keeps his title earned two years ago in Deer Valley in the United States.

Two other Quebecers were participating in this discipline. Marc-Antoine Gagnon and Philippe Marquis were both eliminated by Kingsbury in the first and second round.

For women, the Quebecer Chloé Dufour-Lapoint had a hard time imposing herself for the finals against the Japonese Miki Ito to ensure a world champion title. The third place went to the American Hannah Kearney. She fell in the semi-finals against Ito.

Dufour-Lapointe, who finished last in Deer Valley two years ago, had previously won over her sister Justine, in the first round. Quebecer Audrey Robichaud was also defeated in the initial round while the other Canadian, Andi Naude, was eliminated in the second by Kearney.
